Dosage and Use L-arginine and L-ornithine are most effectively utilized when taken on an empty stomach with water or juice. To maintain the natural release of growth hormone, 6-12 grams of pure L-arginine or half as much pure L-ornithine or a proportional combination of both are suggested for healthy male adults before exercise or sleep depending on the weight of the individual. For healthy female nonpregnant, nonlactating adults, half that amount is suggested.
