Coenzyme Q10 is a mitochondrial energizer that has shown remarkable effects against common heart ailments and neurological disorders. In just the past year, scientists have uncovered specific mechanisms indicating that CoQ10 may have a role in fighting certain cancers. Most surprising, however, are new studies that show how CoQ10 guards against a wide array of common age-related disorders.
According to Dr. Isadore Rosenfeld (Parade Magazine), CoQ10 has been shown to be effective in strengthening the heart. "What has proved out over time . . . Several of the therapies that I concluded might be effective seven years ago have, in fact, been shown to be of value. These include supplements of glucosamine and chondroitin, to retard the progress of osteoarthritis and reduce its pain; and CoQ10, to strengthen the heart function and immune system and possibly to slow the progression of Parkinson’s disease; saw palmetto, for symptoms of prostate-gland enlargement, such as slow urine flow; plus several alternative techniques, such as acupuncture for pain and even aromatherapy."
